Synopsis
Julie is a story about a Christian gril (Laxmi), who lives with her mother, a strict uptight woman who is very religious, and her lovable father who is an alcoholic. However, the father is the center of her life, she the daddy's girl. She falls deeply in love with her best friends brother Shashi, who also, has a very religious mother who is Hindu. Conflict arises after these two lovers share a passionate night, and Julie is left stranded pregnant, as Shashi has taken off to Calcutta. Julie is forced by her mother to move to another city and give up her new born child. Julie does as her mother wishes, returning back home only to find Shashi asking for her hand in marriage. Does Julie forgive him and take him back? If the lovers unite, will the mothers put their religious differences aside?
