This Beautiful traditional style 6 pcs Sankheda sofa set will add a unique look to your living or family room. All the pieces have intricate lacquer illustrative work to form an opulently royal palette of gold's, yellows, reds, with subtle linear work of silver lines.
The name Sankheda is derived from a place in Gujarat from which the name of the Art is derived. This sankheda furniture is made using teak wood and the lacquered using art and technique local to this area. The process of crafting this type of furniture involves first shaping the teak wood pieces on a lathe and then applying powdered tin premixed in a solvent. Once dry, a coat of lacquer is applied and then polished with a specific leaf.
